You cannot teach freedom from oppressed principles.
Of any kind.
Freedom is passed on through liberated language and protected dreamers.
— Zaidi
We are responsible for the world in which we find ourselves, if only because we are the only sentient force which can change it.
— James Baldwin

A jack of many trades, narrowing things down to one medium is quite difficult. I entertain myself with art modalities like dancers practice multiple styles or singers croon through different genres. Although I’ve been a student of photography since I was a little girl, and I’ve been writing since grade school, nothing beats Industrial Design.

Functional art sparks a completely different fire in me. From ceramics, to jewelry making, instruments, building businesses, and cutting hair, I haven’t found anything that feels as satisfying as creating something from a daydream into reality.

The Current Mood:

A writing container for creating new desires.

Be More Curious (BMC) is an invitation for individuals to dream bigger. Often we hear the phrase dream bigger, as if we aren’t dreaming as big as we can. How can we dream bigger if we don’t know what we don’t know? Perhaps there are some steps to take before we expand to bigger...

Each month a series of prompts will be posted to help express a little differently. BMC addresses how we understand language and the nuances of using it in your favor to create. We encourage individuals to be intentional and expansive in creating a new world for themselves by presenting more ideas than what you showed up with.

Write It Out

A Bearded Lady’s Passage

I consider writing to be one of my most easily accessible forms of art. I have been writing creatively and have kept some type of journal since I was around 8 or 9 years old. While I have been traveling for the past 4 years, I have found that journaling regularly allows for me to see progress and keep record of my own personal journey to creating the world I want to live in.

In 2022 at the end of Zaidi’s first nomadic year, she began to keep very specific journals for direction, documentation, and recollection. She knew life was about to start taking some crazy turns. It was time to think differently than anything and everything that had shaped her and whatever she previously knew.

In 2024, I created Puffs & Prompts, a writing outlet and community for all types of writers to be inspired by writing together while sharing some of our favorite indulgences.
